Sims 4 Historical CC: 29 Throwback Pieces for Your Game
Looking for some great Sims 4 historical cc?
I LOVE a good historical game play. Honestly, sometimes I just want to add a little throwback into my home decor.
Whether you want to play the Sims 4 in the Stone Age or you want to throw a Greek college party, you’ll find something on this list for you.
From Ancient Egypt to the 1920s, I dug into the depths of Sims 4 CC for the best stuff.
So, let’s dig in!
Clothing & hair accessories
1. Ancient Egyptian Lotus Accessory by Naunakht
I’m not going to like, I’m a BIG fan of Ancient Egypt — you can blame my unhealthy obsession with the paranormal for that.
With that in mind, it’s no surprise that I LOVE this beautiful Lotus Hair Accessory.
This hair accessory is perfect for any look.
You’ll find it under hats, there are four swatches that are color tagged and, best of all, it’s base game compatible.
If you’re looking for Sims 4 historical custom content but aren’t ready to go all out, then this hair piece is for you.
2. Grecian Hair by Naunakht
The Grecian Hair by Naunakh is a recolor and reintroduction from the Ancient Greek Pack by plasma-Jane.
Unfortunately, that pack’s since been deactivated — but the hair has been resurrected and updated to include all 24 EA colors.
This is perfect if you want to go full Ancient Greece or you simply want some inspired hair, this is for you.
It’s a super cute style that you can match with almost any Sim out there. Not to mention, it’s generally popular with sims players.
3. 1920s Wavy Faux Bob
The 1920s had some seriously cute wavy hair (honestly it’s one of my favorite decades), and the Wavy Faux Bob is no exception.
It’s base game compatible, matches all 24 EA swatches, and has custom thumbnails.
If your Sim is a hat wearer, I’ve got good news — it’s hat compatible.
It’s a great pick if you’re looking for a 1920s themed piece. Great for a party or a full-on lifestyle.
4. Oregon Trail Bonnets by Melancholy Maiden
Inspired by the board game Oregon Trail, the Oregon Trail Bonnets are a super cute historical addition to any game.
There are two versions of this unique hat, each of which has four swatches. They work for adults and children alike.

Whether you’re playing tiny house or your sim is headed to a dress up party, you’d sure to turn heads.
5. Edwardian Bandeaus
These Edwardian Bandeaus might sound boring, but they look hella cute.
They are base game compatible, work with all 24 EA swatches and even work with hats.
While there are Sims 4 historical CC, however they absolutely work with a modern look as well.
The recolor of these bandeaus can be found under piercings and there are 16 to 20 swatches, depending on which one you’re working with.

Looking for an elegant dress to wear to the ball? If you’re a Bridgerton fan, the Elisif Dress by SimsToMaggie is a stunning evening gown that comes with 25 solid swatches.
Regardless of whether or not you’re playing with historical sims or simply holding a regency era ball.
It’s worth nothing that this is a high poly dress, so it won’t work for all computers.
It features full arm-length gloves, so you’ll fully feel like a Belle at the ball.
I particularly like the arms for this, paired with a gorgeous crown, it’ll make your sim feel like a Queen.
7. Beehive Hair by Simduction
If you want some serious retro vibes, this Beehive Hair is for you.
Popular in Western countries in the 1960s, this hairstyle with match spectacularly with some of our favorite custom content kitchen sets.
There are two versions of this hair, the mesh was made from scratch, and it’s base game convertible.
Pair this with a classy outfit and head to a decades party. You can even wear a hat, as it’s a hat compatible hair style.

It’s a mesmerizing dress that works for any formal or everyday situation that your Sims might find themselves in.
9. Party Collection 03 Shoes by Jius-sims
These Party Collection 03 shoes are stylish historical items from more modern history. It features a collection of fun foot-related items, including:
- Knitted socks
- Platform sandals
- Platform pumps
- Platform loafer pumps
These shoes won’t take you back to the Victorian Era, but they’ll be a ton of fun at your local neighborhood costume party.
10. 1960s Female Coat 01
Another recent history addition is this 1960s inspired coat.
Honestly, this is a super cute coat that I absolutely love.
It’s base game compatible, and works in 11 swatches including a solid black and a bright orange… but I have to say, my favorites are the yellow and blue.

Decor and sets
12. Retro Vibes CC Pack by SixAm
Sims 4 historical CC isn’t all about the clothing and accessories, there are some pretty sweet decor and small furniture sets that work for it as well.
Case and point: this Retro Vibes CC pack.
It features 60s, 70s and 80s inspired piece, and you’ll find everything you need to redesign your sims living room and give it a real retro look and feel.
I love the vintage color palette, if you’re looking to create a pop of color, say no more!

Ultimately you can download all the items together, or by a whole set. I think it would be a stellar addition to a modern or minimalist bedroom.
I also think they’d go great as accent pieces, if you’re building an IKEA inspired house.
14. Simmify Instant Camera by MyShunoSun
This might be a silly addition to the list, but who doesn’t love a retro camera? The Simmify Instant Camera is base game compatible, functional off the grid, and comes in 10 swatch colors.
It’s a cute Polaroid instant camera, and the creator recommends you add the Photographic Memory 2.0 Mod so make sure it works correctly. Add this to the collection of your creative sim!

The Perfect Party Stuff CC Pack might be a little tacky, but it’s a ton of fun. It’s 70s themed party decor that features a variety of items, including:
- Banquet table
- Place settings
- Stereo console
Whether you’re holding a 70s themed party or you simply want a few pieces to date your house, this pack can help.
It’s important to mention that it’s a collab between Surley Sims and GildedGhosts, so you’ll need to download two packages to get the full set (pending you want them both).
16. Country Manor Collection by AnachroSims
If you’re lovin’ the country vibe, then the Country Manor Collection is the historical cc pack for you.
This bedroom set a charmingly dated feel to it, and the pack includes:
- Rugs (in three sizes!)
- Cluttered console table
- Arm hair
- Chipendale desk
- Floor recolors
- Obviously a comfy-looking bed
While many of these items are base game compatible, a few of them need Cottage Living (like the Seaside Floor recolor). Honestly, this is the perfect pack for cold weather – I’d use it in a mountain home.
17. Historical Ping Pong Table
You’ll need Discover University for the Historical Ping Pong Table to work, but it’s a fun addition to any game room.
This is a simple ping pong table recolor, and it only comes in a single historical swatch. It’s the item you need for your next castle build.
18. MidCentury Office Set by Surley-Sims
You’ll need to have Get to Work to use the MidCentury Office Set.
I love this super cool Mad Men-esque design that has a real 1950s and 1960s office vibe to it.
It’s gorgeously designed to ensure you create a put-together space.
With a whopping 41 items, it comes fit with file cabinets, a desk fan and even your shared office water cooler.
19. The Kitchen of Tomorrow by Surley-Sims
The Kitchen of Tomorrow is a pre-atomic kitchen cc pack that will help you build a fun, dream kitchen.
Not only does it feature awesome appliances, accent cabinets and cupboards, but you also get access to new floors, along with tiled and panelled walls.
What’s best is the retro counters and cabinets have slots to add your favorite pieces of clutter.
20. Tudor CC Set by Nocturne
This is about as far opposite from IKEA sets as you can get.
If you’re designing a fancy castle, then the Tudor CC Set is for you.
The set features 21 Maxis Match items, that include everything from candle lamps to a royal couch and even a fancy backdrop.
It has a very gothic look and feel to it, and could be the right historical set for some builds.
21. Queen’s Bedchamber by Golden Sanctuary Sims
Build the bedroom of a royal with the Queen’s Bedchamber by Golden Sanctuary Sims.
It features beautiful wall colorings that I’m seriously in love with.
There’s also a very regency-feeling wardrobe and chair. Download it now and start building!
22. Vintage Coffee Set
As far as Sims 4 historical cc goes, this Vintage Coffee set is one of my favorites.
It’s a 60s and 70s inspired design that features four items with new meshes with several swatches each.
These kitchen clutter items include a coffee pot, creamer, sugar bowl, and cup. It’s a totally cute set that you could easily set up in a dining room.
23. Love 4 Gothic Windows and Doors by SixAm
If you need a little more goth in your life, the Love 4 Gothic Windows and Doors set features a whole lot of windows and doors that you can use to seriously elevate the look of your house.
With this set you get:
- 6 windows (in three sizes)
- 2 circular stained glass windows

- 1 arch with an open door
It can help you create a seriously gorgeous gothic look, and your plants can get some solid sunshine!
24. King’s Armchair and Fireplace Screen
Feel like a real royal with this King’s Armchair and Fireplace screen.
Honestly, I could take or leave the screen, but the chair is a very gorgeous addition to any castle inspired historical home.
Fit for the king (queen) of any castle.
Historical CC Mods
25. Write with Quills
Who doesn’t want to have some fun writing?
The Write With Quills mod simply overrides the pencil mesh in the original game with a quill. It works for children, teens and adults.
It’s worth nothing that it doesn’t replace the crayons for the creativity table.
26. Historic Upgrade to Stitching and Knitting
If you’re a fan of hobbies, then these historical upgrades to the hobbies items.
One of the chess boards need the Cottage Living pack, while the knitting needs the Nifty Knitting pack.
But if you’re trying to make a historical home, these are some seriously good crafting upgrades.
27. Mod Archery Skill
The Mod Archery Skill lets your sims practice archery — perfect for the men during a standard garden party.
Not only does it allow sims to acquire and work on an archery skill, but you also get five bows, five arrows, two targets, and three distances to work with.
28. Regency Romance
The Regency Romance mod brings a seriously historic feel to your game. It adds the servant, military and House of Lords careers to your game.
Not only that but you can mark specific tables as serving tables, practice writing on parchment paper and workout without equipment.
Not only that, but fancy gentry ladies can use fans!
29. Carriage & Horses MOD
Yes, there are horsed vehicles for your sims. The Carraige and Horses mod works similar to a bike, and features a Wild West Carriage, antique carriage and a stagecoach — so you can get your era right.
It’s suggested that you download the No Bike Helmet mod so your Sims don’t throw one on before they head out on the town.
Final thoughts: Sims 4 Historical CC
Adding Sims 4 historical CC to your game is a great way to increase not only the look and feel of the game, but extend your gameplay into another era.
Whether you want to play with castles and knights or you’re looking to add a little 1920s style, there’s plenty of stuff out there for you.
I would play with pretty much anything on this list. But if I have to pick a favorite though, I think I’d lean towards the 50s and 60s sets. I LOVE the atomic style kitchen (there’s a bedroom too that you can track down).
So, where are transporting your sims to for your next game?
