I LOVE a good curly and wavy hair download, simply because (a) that’s what my hair’s like and (b) we simply don’t have enough in the game. And this Rosa hair is SO CUTE!
This lovely hair CC is base game compatible and available in 24 swatches. There are 3 different versions of it, and all of them are simply stunning.

I’ll be the first to admit that the Phaethon Hair isn’t the most modern practical, but it does help you create a sexy sim male.

5. Penisha Ponytails by Sheabuttyr
If you’re looking for some stellar braids, the Penisha Ponytails are for you. Sheabuttyr creates some of the most amazing hairs for Black sims, and I HIGHLY recommend you go and download… like pretty much all of them.
It’s worth noting that these particular braids are NOT hat compatible, but you can use it with the base game only. There are all of the EA swatches, plus a few extras, and you get two versions to pick from.

How do you get custom hair on Sims 4?
To get custom hair (or cc in general) in The Sims 4, follow these steps:
- Download your desired custom content (CC) hair.
- Unzip the downloaded file if it’s in a .rar or .zip format.
- Move the extracted files to the mods folder.
- Launch The Sims 4.
- Go to the options menu and select the “game options” tab.
- Click on the “other” tab.
- Ensure that the “enable custom content and mods” option is checked.
How do you use CC hair in The Sims 4?
Once you have your favorite hair CC downloaded to your computer, go to the download folder. Find the downloaded CC and right-click on it. Then, if it’s in .zip or .rar format unzip the folder.
The next step is moving the unzipped files to the mod folder on your computer. Go to Documents>>Electronic Arts>>The Sims 4>> Mods.
After that, launch The Sims 4 game. On the game, press “ESC” button on your keyboard.
Under “GAME OPTIONS” click “Other” and be sure that the “Enable custom content and mods” option is ticked.
Close the game and relaunch it. Your CC should be already in the game and working well.
What are the hair categories in Sims 4?
The hair categories in Sims 4 are: infant, toddler, child, and adult (which includes everyone aged teen to elder).
Why is my sim hair shiny?
Most likely, it’s related to your graphic setting on your game, not the custom content itself.
To fix this problem, turn off the laptop mode and set your graphics quality to medium, and change your sims to high (or even ultra!). You can also adjust your resolution.
