While these CAS backgrounds are a little more real-looking, they’re cute and classy.

Want to add a little more realism into your game? Try the Moving Day CAS background!
This is a really fun way to emulate your sims moving in while you’re prepping pre-move.

This is a stellar option to go with.
37. Rainbow by Busra-tr
If you want something cute and colorful, this Rainbow CAS background by Busra-tr is a great choice.
I’ll be honest, there are A LOT of rainbow themed backgrounds you can choose from but I particularly like this one because it’s unique and fun.
Not only does it add a splash of color to your game, but I find the watercolor style to be calming and less distracting than a straight-up rainbow.
38. Sims 4 CAS Background by Praleska
If you love anything vintage, you may need to consider this wonderful Euphoria CAS background!
Pick between the Mahogany, Forest, Moon, or Naval option!
How to install Sims 4 CAS background
- Download your Sims 4 CAS background into your computer
- Unzip the compressed file (if applicable)
- Place the content into your game’s mod folder
- Restart the game
Note: you can only have ONE cas background in your mods folder at a time
How to remove the shadow from your custom CAS background
Once you place your new custom Sims 4 CAS background, you’ll find that there’s still an awkward shadow blob where your sim is standing. That’s because that’s a DIFFERENT part of the game than the background itself.
Luckily, it’s really easy to get rid of!
You’ll need the background blob remover mod. Simply head to the download page, scroll down until you see the Blob/Shadow Remover mod and download it. Make sure it’s in the right place in your game, and next time you load up it should be gone!
How to remove a CAS background from your game
Removing a CAS background is a piece of cake if you know where it is.
Find the CAS background in your mods folder and delete or remove the file. It helps if you keep it in a separate folder that is easily identifiable. Your game can still access it in a secondary folder (so long as it’s housed in the right place) AND it’ll be easier to access.
You can also search your main folder or the computer in general for the CAS background file’s name and delete it that way too.
Final thoughts: Sims 4 CAS backgrounds
Using background mods is a great way to customize your Sims 4 game. And whether you’re looking for solid color backgrounds or something a little more fun, there’s a custom background option out there for you.
What I like about this particular customization route is it’s easy to do, it doesn’t require you to download anything you don’t want (sometimes you get that with full cc packs) and you can change it out if you’re not feelin’ it anymore.
Adding a background replacement to your game is a super easy way to make it feel a bit more like you… and, after all, isn’t that the kind of game we’re all looking for?
